This Cookie Policy explains how Pintado (“we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar storage technologies when you visit pintado.org.
1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
Cookies are small text files stored on your computer or mobile device when you load web pages. Modern web browsers also provide localStorage, which allows websites to save lightweight preference flags directly on your device without sending them back and forth to a web server on every request.
2. How Pintado Uses Storage Technologies
Pintado is committed to data minimization and privacy. We use client storage solely for essential site functionality:
- Essential Preference Storage (Strictly Necessary): We store your cookie consent preference (e.g.
pintado_cookie_consent) in your browser’slocalStorageso we do not repeatedly prompt you on every visit. - Tool State Storage (Session Only): Your Canvas slider adjustments and grid preferences may be stored temporarily in your active browser tab session to keep your workspace stable while navigating.
3. What We Do NOT Do
- We do not track your browsing behavior across other websites.
- We do not sell or broker any visitor data to third-party data brokers.
- We do not store your reference photos or artwork files in cookies or cloud databases.
4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can clear or disable cookies and local storage at any time through your web browser’s settings (e.g., Chrome Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear Browsing Data). Note that clearing local storage will reset your banner preference on Pintado.
