No. Absolutely never. All three Pintado tools run entirely in your local browser through the HTML5 Canvas API. The image data resides solely in your computer or phone’s memory while the tab is open, and disappears when closed. We have no file upload servers and never store your images.

Computer displays use additive RGB light mixing, where yellow + blue produces neutral gray. In physical painting (acrylics, oils, watercolors), mixing pigments is a subtractive process where wavelengths are absorbed. Pintado simulates subtractive RYB pigment physics, accurately predicting that Cadmium Yellow and Ultramarine Blue yield rich green tones.

Both tools feature dedicated Print buttons that launch an isolated, print-optimized document view. All navigation, buttons, and backgrounds are hidden so your printer outputs crisp, high-contrast outlines and grid lines directly on standard paper or transfer paper.

For beginners and portraits with intricate features, a 6×8 or 8×10 grid gives enough landmark anchors without overwhelming you. For quick landscape block-ins, a 4×4 grid is ideal. Turning on the “Atelier Sight Diagonals” adds corner-to-corner sight lines for classical proportion transfer.
